Frequently Asked Questions
-
A model that sits between traditional and self-publishing. The author funds the production of the book; we provide the editorial, design, and distribution work of a publishing house. You keep your rights and your royalties, and you work with a professional team rather than going it alone.
-
No. A vanity press prints whatever it's paid to print. We don't. Every manuscript is edited by a credentialed editor, and the work has to meet a professional standard before it carries our name. The author's investment covers real editorial and production work — not the privilege of being published.
-
Our hybrid publishing packages start at $6,000, with the final figure depending on the editorial scope your manuscript needs. Standalone editorial services — manuscript evaluations, line edits, query reviews — are quoted individually at rates consistent with the Editorial Freelancers Association.
-
Yes. You retain full ownership of your work and any proceeds from its sale.
-
Most projects take two to four months from signed agreement to finished book. The exact timeline depends on how much editing your manuscript needs and how many rounds of revision we make to the cover and interior. Every book is different — but whatever the timeline, you're kept in the loop at each step.

We publish fiction and nonfiction across a range of genres: memoir, narrative nonfiction, self-help, personal development, business and leadership, wellness, literary fiction, genre fiction, and short story and essay collections. We do not currently accept poetry collections, children's or middle grade, or academic and scholarly texts.
-
We reply within 24 to 48 hours with an honest assessment of your manuscript. From there, it depends on what you're looking for. Some authors come to us for a single edit; others want full hybrid publishing, and some go on to marketing support after that. We'll talk you through what makes the most sense for your book and your goals — there's no fixed path, and no pressure to take on more than you need.
-
Yes. We distribute through IngramSpark, which makes your book available worldwide through Amazon and other major online retailers, bookstores and libraries through the Ingram catalog. We'll be honest about one thing: no hybrid or self-published title can guarantee physical shelf placement in bookstores — that's true across the industry. What we can ensure is that your book is professionally produced and available everywhere readers can order it.
-
Your book is yours. We pair you with award-winning designers and work closely with you throughout — you have input at every stage and final approval on both your cover and interior. We don't consider the design finished until you're happy with it. Our job is to bring professional craft to your vision, not to override it.
-
No — and we'd be wary of anyone who does. No ethical publisher can promise sales figures, reviews, or bestseller status. What we promise is a book that's professionally edited, designed, and distributed, and an honest partner throughout the process. The rest depends on the book, the market, and the work of getting it into readers' hands.
-
Our editorial services are standalone — a manuscript evaluation, a line edit, a query letter review — for writers who want professional feedback or polish without committing to publication. Our publishing packages take a finished manuscript all the way to a published book: editing, design, formatting, and distribution. Some authors start with an edit and decide to publish with us later; others come ready to publish from the start. Either path is fine.
