1. Submission

It starts with your manuscript. Submit through our submissions page and you'll hear from our editorial coordinator within 24 to 48 hours. We'll ask about your goals, your timeline, and any editors you've worked with before. No form letters, no automated responses.

2. Editorial Assessment

We review your manuscript and recommend the right type of edit — developmental, line, or copy — depending on where the work is. If you've worked with one of our editors before, we'll pair you with them again where possible.

3. Editing

We match your manuscript with the right editor and manage the work from there. Each package includes a focused round of editing, and Park Avenue Press oversees the process from start to finish — relaying notes, answering questions, and keeping you informed at every stage. You always know where things stand.

4. Design

Once the manuscript is ready, we turn to the book itself. We gather your vision for the cover and interior — your aesthetic preferences, comparable titles, anything that matters to you visually. Our designers take it from there, with your input throughout and your final approval before anything is locked.

5. Production

We handle everything behind the scenes: interior formatting for print and eBook, ISBN registration, metadata, BISAC categorization, and all distribution setup through IngramSpark and Amazon KDP. Your book is made available worldwide — on Amazon, through major online retailers, and orderable by bookstores and libraries through the Ingram catalog.

6. Post-Publication

Once your book is live, you choose how you'd like to manage it going forward.

The independent route is for authors who want full control — we hand everything over to you at no ongoing cost.

The managed route is for authors who want continued support — we handle troubleshooting, sales reporting, book ordering, and ongoing distribution management for a monthly fee.
